Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point New Jersey: What is it?
Devorah Zealot Soodak, nee Deborah Ellen Soodak, aka Debbie Soodak, is a curious sort. Curiosity killed the cat. She may have 99 lives, but she's used up 98 of them.
She had some rather bizarre experiences at this "hospital." She's been told that no one is quite sure what they do there, but practicing medicine isn't one of them. She's also been told that it is referred to as a morgue.
So I decided to investigate. I'm not feeling very well from the seizures and the meds to stop the seizures, so you'll have to content yourselves with this. I'm sorry it isn't very much, but it is a start.

This bill pertains to the cost of services and supplies rendered during your stay, but does not include the professional services provided by private or hospital-based physicians. Your physician and other physicians who participated in your care (directly or indirectly) will bill you separately for their services. Many insurance carriers require patients to pre-certify inpatient hospital stays, emergency admissions, surgeries and certain radiology imaging procedures. Pre-certification is the patient's responsibility. COUNSELING SERVICES The School recognizes that a student may, at times, experience personal problems which, if ignored, often impact classroom and clinical performance. The School also recognizes the student’s desire to maintain confidentiality when experiencing personal problems. Short-term counseling services and referral services are available without cost to students through contacting the AtlantiCare Behavioral Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP). There is no problem too small or too unusual for the EAP. Simply contact EAP and an appointment can be arranged over the phone. Confidentiality is assured. No one from this institution, or school will be contacted or have knowledge of your request for help. The initial problem assessment and counseling services are free to you. Shore Memorial will pay 100% of the cost for up to three assessments/counseling visits. If services that are not covered by insurance are necessary, your counselor will try to help minimize your cost by making referrals to the most appropriate agency. These costs will be your responsibility, but many times services are available which are based on your ability to pay. You can reach EAP at a 24 hr. hot-line 1- 800-260-0808. Upon your initial phone call you must identify yourself as a Shore Memorial Hospital School of Radiologic Technology student.
