Hi Zealot,
I hope you have better results finding housing. The stalled economy has certainly resulted in many stalled demolition plans, and plenty of places, with planned replacement put on hold with past-due needed demolition, being exploited for cash income no matter the great safety hazards.
I'm doing much better healthwise again. The biggest problem I seem to have with larger doses of Keppra during my clusters, appears to be mainly when I have any virus or active allergy, and the coincidental increased sensitivity in my lungs with more than minimal Keppra.
Tons of spam and very slow, to zero, internet speeds, have slowed up my internet activities. My latest clues between epilepsy and the works of Omar Khayyam, and his biography, ended up at a symposium that included "The transporter hypothesis" as a possible explanation of Multidrug resistance in epilepsy (Speaker 2: Wolfgang Lőscher, page 20), and "membrane transporters" (Speaker 3: Christoph Baumgartner) at: http://www.sfb35.at/pdf/HP_2.Symp_Programm_2009_K.pdf. I think "The Wine of Wisdom" critic "Rāzī" ((1177-1256)?) might have intersected views with the "mind/body duality" and epilepsy. And as if I'm not confused enough, I'm tempted to read more of Robert Burton's "The Anatomy of Melanchology".
Lots of Love,
Tadzio

Tadzio,
I'm glad you're feeling better. I always worry when you "go down." You're a fighter though. We both should be dead many times over.
I just made a reservation at the Absecon Superlodge. It is actually a two star hotel/motel and is cheaper than the Taffy Motel Absecon City Toxic Waste Dump. I made it through Expedia.com and it was simple and painless. They also guarantee lowest rates and I checked and there were no legit lower rates. They were courteous and professional.
Now I have to figure out how to get packed and moved. The Absecon Police said they'd help me get a cab and let the driver know he or she would have to help me. They also gave me the names of some decent places because I am too brain dead from the seizures and the meds to to figure out how to do this.
I think you're onto something with the seizures and allergies. I am extremely allergic to mold and when it gets damp and the mold gets worse I'm in serious trouble. Right now I'm so weak from the seizures I can hardly walk a hundred feet. My muscles and bones ache from/to the core.
I wish I were the kind of person who could kill myself, but I can't. I certainly know how. All of the necessary ingredients for a painless death are available at your local supermarket. I just won't do it. When it is my time, Hashem will take me.
A lot of AEDs cause acidosis and lowered pH in the lungs causes asthma. This could be part of your lung troubles. Large doses of Keppra trade one type of seizure for another. I do believe that avoiding TCs is of utmost importantance, especially since another one could kill you, but perhaps there is another med that wouldn't have such bad side effects.
Oh, sorry. I forgot. You don't have a neurologist. You have doctors who occasionally pretend to be neurologists. Scratch that thought.
I'm waiting for the Sheriff to come knock on my door and kick me out in my jammies. I just made a cup of tea and am trying to get my brain in working order and get myself cleaned up and dressed. Apparently "check out" time is 11:00. I spoke to the proprietress and told her that check in time at the new place was 15:00. She agreed to give me the extra time. Besides, they have plenty of vacancies.
I have to investigate the connection between Omar Khayyam and epilepsy. I know he was a Persian mathematician and poet of some reknown, but I was not aware that he was epileptic. Stupid me. Of course he was.
The reason for all the spam and internet sluggishness 'tis the season. The infrastructure is not there to support the current usage. Epilepsy-dot-com are having lots of problems and their login is no longer secure again. I really have to change my password. They have no excuse because they conduct financial transactions on their web site and non-secure logins are a recipe for disaster and liability.
Their spam crap has diarrhea, too. I have lost posts because of it. Sometimes it lets a link through and the next time the link won't get through. I even got spam scrammed for a post that had no links! Maybe the spam crap has epilepsy! In that case it should be forgiven.
I'm not making much sense and I have to get ready to get out of here before I'm dragged out.

Tadzio,
I just added this comment you know where. My brain works on things in bits and pieces before I can put them together. Here goes:
Tadzio,
It's nice to know that there is an explanation to multi-drug resistance other than "pseudoseizures." Perhaps the "ology" will rejoin "neuro." That would be a beautiful thing.

Hi Zealot,
How is the Absecon Superlodge? Is it the lodge at the corner of Haddon Ave and White Horse Pike?
Whether or not FitzGeald's translation of "The Rubaiyat" "more faithfully represents the Irish poet than the Persian", the euphoric Rabelaisian flair with wine, possibly being precluded, if it was washed down with gamma-linolenic acid, has more of a statistical weight with temporal lobe epilepsy than with Alzheimer's disease. Put that with "'States' of ecstatic union with the 'Truth', or Deity of the Mystics." (The Sufistic quatrains of Omar Khayyam in definitive form, Volume 32 By Omar Khayyam, Edward Heron-Allen, (), p. 216, for line 302: http://books.google.com/books?id=yJQpAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA216&dq=ecstatic+Omar+Khayyam&hl=en&ei=vCb6TMDKHcn_nQf7-a3ICg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CDoQ6AEwBA#v=onepage&q=ecstatic&f=false
). Alzheimer's cited from "The wine of wisdom: the life, poetry and philosophy of Omar Khayyam" by Mehdi Aminrazavi (2005), page 30: http://books.google.com/books?ei=9a_8TLfONovEsAPT_pD3DQ&ct=result&id=afNjAAAAMAAJ&dq=Khayyam+Alzheimer's+Aminrazavi&q=Alzheimer's#search_anchor
"It is probable that he may have suffered from Alzheimer's disease from which he may have died." With the probable "may have", I still can't find more references.
One citation to gamma-linolenic acid is: http://books.google.com/books?ei=5xX6TKmyD-i5nAf91NHICg&ct=result&sqi=2&id=3O3iAAAAMAAJ&dq=%22wine+induced+seizures+Omar+Khayyam&q=euphoric+Khayyam#search_anchor
and, Vaddadi KS., "The use of gamma-linolenic acid and linoleic acid to differentiate between temporal lobe epilepsy and schizophrenia." Prostaglandins Med 1981;6:375-9. I wonder how many people are giving books the MMPI-II too??? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6269135
but, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17764919
I was going to cite Robert Musil in my defense, but I've forgot what for??? Something about "The Master and Margarita" and the deficit reduction recommendations and Arizona Medicaid, but I'm under the influence of The Folio Society for now.
Lots of Love,
Tadzio

It will do for now. It isn't a toxic waste dump. I don't know how the housekeeping will be, but my meds knock me out to the point where I don't wake up when someone knocks on the door and I used to wake up from the sound of a cockroach walking.
I'm still seizing, but not as badly. I used to be called genius brain. Now I'm called stupid, crazy, and drunk. Who's crazy? Who's stupid? Who's ignorant?
I had a cop tell me I wasn't having a seizure because I wasn't having a Grand Mal. I told him there were lots of different kinds of seizures and he really should learn. I was very carefully polite. I think he's a decent guy, he just doesn't know.
I'll tell you he rest of my trials and tribulations once I'm feeling a little better. I made it to the grocery store yesterday, but I was too tired to cook. Now I'm starving. That's a good thing. The seizures and the Keppra make me anorectic. The Klonopin, which I hate, gives me my appetite back.
I've been sleeping a lot, but I need it. I'm finally having normal dreams again. I think the disturbed sleep patterns were aggravating the seizures and I think the seizures themselves cause that. The Keppra made a bad thing worse.
I can't stand the side effects of the meds, but I don't want to be dead. Why is it that Alzheimer's is the new diagnosis du jour? Is it because it is another chronic incurable disease that causes family members to abandon the afflicted to the clutches of the Contractor Bonanazas?
What does Alzheimer's have to do with Omar Kayyam anyway? I guess it's that quantum thing. Everything has to do with everything.
